MEET ALLISON
Allison lives in Manhattan’s Lower East Side in a four-story walk-up where she has resided for the past 20 years. A graduate of New York University (BA) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (JD), Allison has deep roots in her neighborhood and has committed her time to community activism, civic engagement, and increasingly crucial efforts to preserve our democracy. She has worked in the private sector and in the public sector as a litigator for the City of New York’s Corporation Counsel and for the Court System as Principal Law Clerk to the Hon. Arthur F. Engoron.
Allison is passionate about ensuring that the Courts are fair, accessible, and transparent to all New Yorkers. Allison firmly believes that justice must be administered without fear or favor, and irrespective of whether or not a party can afford an attorney. Her experiences, both in Court and in life, have rendered her capable of dispensing impartial, thoughtful, and efficient justice and have instilled in her the patience, temperament, and discipline necessary to serve effectively and fairly on the bench.
