Allison lives in Manhattan’s Lower East Side in a four-story walk-up where she has resided for the past 20 years. A graduate of New York University (BA) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (JD), Allison has deep roots in her neighborhood. She has committed her time to community activism, civic engagement, and increasingly crucial efforts to preserve our democracy.

Law clerk in Trump civil fraud trial running for judgeship

The law clerk Donald Trump accused of “co-judging” his civil fraud trial is running for her own seat in Manhattan civil court in the upcoming November elections.

 

Allison Greenfield was a frequent point of contention for Trump’s legal team – even costing Trump thousands in fines for violating a gag order barring him from talking about her.

NYC court clerk attacked by Trump during fraud trial to run unopposed for judgeship

Allison Greenfield [38] received unanimous endorsement from the Democratic County Committee for judgeship in the New York Civil Court on Tuesday.

 

“I’m honored and humbled to have received the County Committee’s endorsement. I look forward to presenting my qualifications to all Manhattan residents,” she told the Spirit, a local NYC outlet.

In issuing his ruling, Judge Engoron received an assist from his top clerk Allison Greenfield, who repeatedly grilled the parties about the applicable standard for third-party privilege, whether that person needs to be only “helpful” to an attorney or provide “necessary” assistance. The Trump Organization’s counsel dodged the question, and the attorney general’s office opted for the latter answer.
